Taylor's Fine Ruby a blend of full bodied Port wines aged for around two years in large oak vats in Taylor's cellars, or 'lodges', in Vila Nova de Gaia.

This Pinot Noir is an excellent example of a fruit-forward Marlborough wine. It displays vibrant red fruit characters, including ripe plum and wild berry. The palate offers a rich texture, with fruity notes flowing seamlessly into a supple finish. Soft tannins complement earthy undertones and subtle spice, which linger pleasantly. The McDonald Series wines are an expression of both their fruit and the vision of their namesake winemaker. An aromatic, textural Syrah with a core of rich berry fruit and dark plum, complimented by lifted floral notes, warm spice, liquorice and subtle oak. The palate is medium-weight and supple with a long finish. For quality reasons, this wine is unfined and unfiltered. Decanting is recommended.

Their wines are made with 100% estate-grown fruit sourced from their vineyards across three distinct sub-regions, the Alexandra Basin, Bannockburn and Pisa. Utilising sustainable farming practices and minimal intervention methods in the winery, the outcome is elegant, refined, and impeccably balanced wines epitomising the terroir of Central Otago. With dark plums and spice, this Pinot Noir has bright acidity and a soft finish.

For quality reasons this wine is unfiltered and decanting is recommended.
